I have always loved lions, leopards, cheetahs and other big cats. I would love to be able to pet and hug a lion the way I do with my own cats, so the picture of the workers at Africa, U.S.A. with Zamba always makes me a little jealous.
Imagine that you could hang out for a day with any wild animal and know you wouldn't get hurt.Imagine that you would have any skills you needed to keep up with it (for example, if it was a bird, you could fly; if it was a cheetah or gazelle, you could run fast enough to keep up with it).
Which animal would you choose and why? Your answer must be at least three sentences long and use standard grammar.

The Flood---Thoughts about Dog Fighting
One of my students mentioned that "affection training" made him think about pit bulls. His dad wants to get a pit bull. His mom thinks at this point that pit bulls have a natural fight instinct and are too dangerous to have as pets. His dad thinks if you get one young enough and raise it with love, it will be a great pet.
Thinking about pit bulls made me think about dog fighting in general. Some people think owning and raising dogs to fight is cruel. Other people think dog fighting is interesting to watch and don't see anything wrong with it.
Answer ONE of the questions below. Your answers must be at least three sentences long and use standard grammar:
1. Do you think all animals can be raised to be gentle through affection training? Are there any animals you think would stay dangerous even if they were affection trained?
2. What do you think about dog fighting?
